| Bio: | Fandom Name: Dark Angel Additional Information: Max was born at Vivadyne Labs, Gillette Wyoming, to a surrogate mother (19-20 years old) who did not want to give her up and, in fact, tried unsuccessfully to escape. Max had a severe military early childhood, which included being used as part of many cruel experiments as part of Project Manticore. She excelled in telecommunications. In February 2009, twelve X5s escaped from Manticore, led by her "brother" Zack, but they separated as soon as they were out and free. Max went through a number of foster homes, including at least one abusive father, before finding her way to Seattle, where she became a bike messenger by day for Jam Pony, and a cat burglar by night. In early 2019, Max, during the course of a delivery, spotted a statue of the goddess Bast through the window of a penthouse. That night, Max broke into the apartment and attempted to steal the statue. During the break-in she saw Eyes Only (Logan Cale) making a broadcast. Logan's security guard spotted her, and Logan was able to hold her at gunpoint briefly. She escaped by diving out of the window, but was later tracked down by Logan, who proposed a quid pro quo - her help in protecting a witness in return for his help in tracking down her family. Max, quite rightly fearing exposure, turned him down, but when Logan was shot and paralyzed, her guilt over not helping out forced her to become involved. Max and Logan formed a partnership, he trying to track down her "family" while she helped him out with legwork for Eyes Only. Throughout this time, Max's greatest fear was of being recaptured by Colonel Donald Lydecker and taken back to Manticore. Max and Logan developed a relationship while working together, but before they were able to act upon their feelings for each other, Max was captured by Lydecker while attempting to save her sister Tinga from Manticore. Lydecker, fearing capture himself at the hands of Director Renfro, released Max and teamed up with her. Max was eventually recaptured while trying to take Manticore down with the assistance of Lydecker, Logan and three of her siblings (Zack, Syl and Krit). She was shot in the heart by an X7 clone of herself, and her brother, Zack, sacrificed himself to save her life (by giving her his X5 heart). She escaped Manticore again with the assistance of Alec, another X5, and another transgenic, Joshua (a nomlie). Unknown to her, she had been infected with a retrovirus genetically targeted to kill Logan. She unwittingly infected Logan when she returned to him and they shared a kiss, but she was able to obtain the only existing dose of the antigen to the virus by returning to Manticore and forcing Renfro to give it to her. Renfro had already set off explosions to destroy Manticore and kill its inhabitants and was killed taking a bullet meant for Max. Present at the explosions that destroyed the facility, Max was able to release most of the creatures (nomlies), X-series, and other experiments held there, many of whom ended up in Seattle, where they were feared by the ordinary population and hunted like criminals. Max is being hunted by Ames White and his cult of Familiars, who are deliberately trying to turn the general population against the transgenics. There is something special about Max, which threatens the Familiars' plans for world domination, and they have targeted her for death. This journal is fictional and for roleplaying purposes only.
